Background: Frank Callahan has over 40 years of diversified architectural design, management and construction experience. Early in his architectural career Frank decided to go into business for himself and in 1982 he opened his own firm. While developing a clientele, he provided consulting services to other area architectural firms which allowed him to work on a wide range of project types and learn how different firms were managed. Once his own client work flow was established, Frank focused on slowly growing the firm with a mindset of designing all types of projects from “dog houses to skyscrapers”. Mr. Callahan has completed new construction projects as large as 120 million dollars. Project types include; residential, commercial, institutional, governmental, office, retail, industrial, educational, and religious facilities. His project management experience includes analytical-conceptual consultation, facility design, master planning, construction drawings, bid specifications, cost estimates, construction administration, and construction management. Frank’s services encompass respect for budget and schedule, goals achievement, realistic master planning for cost-effective expansion and maintenance. Mr. Callahan has a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Texas Society of Architects, is a Designated Professional in the Design-Build Institute of America, and is LEED AP.

Interests: Away from the office, Frank enjoys hiking and gardening with his wife, Patty, as well as renovating their wonderful 50’s style house in west Fort Worth. (Oh, Frank also likes hot dogs!).

Background: Friends and Associates: It is with great sadness that we must inform you that Chuck Freeman has passed away. We celebrate his life of being a talented architect, an avid golfer, and a steadfast friend of all who knew him. Chuck proudly served in the United States Air Force prior to receiving his education from the University of Texas. He practiced architecture throughout Texas and several other states and completed hundreds of successful projects. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara and his two sons. He will be greatly missed.

Background: Patty Callahan has over 30 years of office and personnel management experience. Her experience includes managing retail shops as well as warehouse and distribution facilities. Patty has managed the business activities of Callahan & Freeman for the past 20 years. She brings a family atmosphere to the company while coordinating the overall business functions including the payroll, employee benefits, and accounting activities of the firm. Patty attended the University of Texas at Austin, completed special studies at the University of Saint Andrews in Scotland and attended the Benz School of Floral Design at Texas A&M University. She has played an active role in the local, Fort Worth community where she has been a member of the Kupferle Health Board, Western Hills Garden Club and Historic Fort Worth where she helps organize the Hidden Gardens Tour each year.

Background: Alan Hucaby is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, and Syracuse University with a Master of Architecture degree. He has 26 years of experience in architectural design, construction documentation, and construction administration. He has designed and managed projects including single family houses, commercial office and retail facilities, educational facilities, church facilities, and retirement housing campuses. Mr. Hucaby served six years on the Zoning Board of Adjustments in Arlington, Texas, and he has a thorough understanding of the processes necessary to make a building development happen. Working as a team member with owners, contractors and government officials has been the key to succeeding with all of these project types. Mr. Hucaby is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Texas Society of Architects, and he is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, allowing reciprocal licensure to practice in all states. He is currently licensed in the State of Texas.

Background: Steve Bryant has over 23 years of experience in the architectural field encompassing all areas of successful projects ranging from marketing phases through contract administration. He has worked on various types of projects throughout the country encompassing retail, telecommunications, governmental, educational, religious, transportation, municipal, industrial and office projects. As a project manager, Mr. Bryant has extensive experience in both renovations/expansion projects as well as new facilities. He also has experience in a construction manager role for educational projects. Steve has managed a wide variety of projects through the phases from marketing, schematic design, design development, construction documents production, quality assurance, permitting, through on-site field observations and contract administration. Mr. Bryant has effectively managed multiple clients and various team members during projects to meet the client’s individual needs while maintaining the standards of quality established by the firm. Steve has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington, class of 1998, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington, class of 2000.

Background: Warren Miller has over 17 years of experience working in Information Technology. Having completed technical training in 1999 he started working in technical support immediately. Warren joined Callahan & Freeman in 2001 and instantly started assisting to modernize the firm, improving desktop computers, servers, network infrastructure and telecommunications systems. He also assists in graphics, marketing efforts and implementing Building Information Management software to help the firm keep pace with the ever-changing industry. Along the way, Warren also developed computer-aided drafting skills and performs a variety of other duties that fall outside of traditional IT.
Interests: Away from the office Warren spends his time playing video games with his kids.

Background: Alex Benitez has 10 years of experience in the architecture industry. He has worked on various types of projects ranging from small retail, large retail, restaurants, housing, pharmacies, and educational facilities around the country, plus residential estimation regionally. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington, class of 2011. Alex is fluent in popular Building Information Management software, which assists the firm in staying current with the industries forward pace.

Interests: Away from the office, Alex is a kid at heart and has several “toys”……a few of those are his motorcycle and Onewheel (literally a one wheeled electric transportation vehicle). He is a member of groups for both modes of transportation and occasionally participates in group rides. Alex is addicted to food, which he partly blames for being out of shape.

Background: Kevin Poole is a graduate of The University of Texas at Arlington where his primary focus was Business and Psychology. Over the years, he has worked on all sides of the typical construction project as a design professional as well as a contractor and sub-contractor. Ultimately he earned his architectural license in the State of Texas in 1996. Kevin has known and worked with Frank Callahan over the past 35 years on a wide variety of commercial, ecclesiastical, educational, and institutional project.

Registration: Texas Architect license #15391Interests: Away from the office, Kevin is active as a director and actor at several community theatres in the area. He also plays guitar and bass at the church where his family has attended for the past 15 years.

Background: Stephen Eisner was quietly and slowly easing his way into “retirement mode” when a phone call from his friend Frank Callahan caused him to reconsider. Stephen has been actively engaged in real estate for over 40 years, he is a Texas Real Estate Broker and has held a license since 1983. His work in construction management as well as development of retail, multifamily, and general commercial projects across the country has allowed him to work with and alongside multiple industry disciplines and representatives of probably every governmental entity that impacts the development arena. In addition to development for his own portfolio and partnerships, he has consulted for other developers and property owners as well as other retail and corporate firms, both regional and national. His attention to detail has always ensured that projects are completed to fruition in a timely fashion and with minimal deviation from “the Plan”. A self-avowed “spreadsheet junkie”, he maintains a “library” for forecasting and analyzing real estate developments and other scenarios. Born from obsessive curiosity, his favorite phrase – “what if?” – continuously leads him to open new doors in his unending quest to learn more.

Interests: When not nose-deep in his Bible or a fly-fishing book, Stephen prefers to be outside doing “just about anything” or playing with his precious granddaughter. “Life is all about relationship”.

Background: Dennis is a skilled architectural designer who is deeply passionate about crafting innovative and functional spaces. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Texas Tech University and boasting over 5+ years of industry experience, Dennis excels in producing comprehensive design documents that encompass plans, elevations, and sections. Furthermore, he has cultivated a profound understanding of design principles, codes, and techniques. By seamlessly merging creativity with technical expertise, Dennis is dedicated to enriching the built environment and contributing to the firm's ability to fulfill the aesthetic and practical requirements of each project. A significant source of motivation for him is his mother, an immigrant from Uganda. Her tireless efforts to provide a better life for Dennis and his siblings inspire him greatly. “As adults, it's easy to become jaded and lose sight of our accomplishments, but through a parent's eyes, every achievement becomes a cause for celebration.”
